In terms of air travel, East Midlands is the closest airport, but it is quite small. Birmingham and London Luton are the closest major airports to Nottingham. Manchester airport is also not too bad. The other London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted) are further away and require more substantial journey times to get to here.
